Public Glean at First Light Farm scheduled for Sunday, October 25th, 11-3 pm
If you are interested in participating in a public glean at First Light Farm on Sunday, October 25, from 11-3 pm, please send us an email at: email@example.com. Tell us the name of your organization or who you will be gleaning for, how many people in your party, and what you are looking for. We’ll respond with a time for you to arrive so that we balance out the requests. We believe we will have turnips, beets, chard, kale, winter squash, tomatoes, cabbage, collards, and pumpkins. This will be our first time organizing such an event. If it goes well, we hope that we can make it an annual event at the end of each growing season.
Don’t forget to bring gloves, boots, and appropriate clothes for field work. You’ll also want to bring containers for your vegetables.
If you are interested in helping HopeLink with their gleaning efforts at local farms, contact Lindsey Robinson, Harvest Program Coordinator, 425-346-3581 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
