HERBAL MEDICINE MAKING: SALVES & TINCTURES
Come learn the basics of Herbal Medicine Making to increase your knowledge of our plant allies while gaining confidence in their healing properties for home use.
In the class, we will cover step by step and hands on instruction of making infused herbal oils and salves. We will also cover infused vinegars for increasing our nutritional value of our food. We will also discuss herbal tinctures and infused honeys and the important role herbs play in the garden and how herbs can help empower us to be the creators of our medicines and healing.
Please bring a personal mug to enjoy tea, a note pad and pen and camera if you wish. Bring a small wide-mouth jar to take home your share of the salve we make in class (4 oz. or smaller).
INSTRUCTOR: Reisha Beck, permaculture designer, herbal medicine maker, and ethnobotany student.

U-PICK this week: our wonderfully-delicious green beans continue to be a hit. Come pick as early as you can this week (farm open Thursday-Sunday) due to the very hot weather coming (which green beans don’t like!). We’ll continue to irrigate but if you want fresh, tender green beans, come as early as you can.
Our pickling cucumbers are coming in strong. Call or text 206-719-8602 if you want quantities so we can tell you what’s available.
We also have turnips, radishes, microgreens, dill, flowers, eggplant, peppers (hot and sweet) and tomatoes (cherry, Roma, and slicers).
We open at 10:30 and close at 6 pm Thursdays-Sunday. Plan to spend a few hours enjoying the beauty of the valley as well as getting your weekly fill of greens from our fields.
Sorry, no dogs please! Hope to see you at the farm, Farmer Jane
